Terracotta Unguentarium, 2nd-1st C BC, 205mm
- cf Hayes Greek and Greek-Style Pottery in the ROM #238 listed as: Clay pinkish red with fine grits,
surface wet-smoothed. Fairly thick-walled. Tubular neck, sloping shoulder, fairly slender body tapering to a
narrow base. Heavy base-molding, wire marks below. Rim slightly flaring, chamfered on top. Undecorated. A few
clay smears, etc. from manufacture.” Listed as Palestinian type.

foot and out-turned rim. Undecorated… The spindle-shaped unguentarium which is a very common type in Cyprus,
